My students look forward to using TIG and other websites to learn more about the reality of life in different corners of the world: they realize that even though we live in a diverse world, there are ways for us to understand and respect each other. There is so much that has enriched my life, in spite of the Liberian civil crisis.
As a child, I should have been watching television; I should have been in school learning biology to understand how cells developed and how they die, sociology to know how social factors alter our behaviors or psychology to understand how war affected perceptions but the war taught me the opposite of what I wanted to learn.
